The Light at the end of the Tunnel

After a very difficult couple of years with my DS, involving police visits, theft, self-harming, running away and more, I can finally see the light.

Last week he had a praise card from school for effort and attainment!

I am now watching him play football for a community team and I could burst with happiness and pride. He looks happy and we chat to each other regularly.

We still have a few teenage years left but if it's just this level of grumpiness and mess then I will be one happy mum.

Hold on tight if you're having a tough time, hopefully brighter days are on the way soon. I never thought this day would come.
