DD worried about sanitary pad showing in PE

Does anyone have any advice please. My DD has just started her period and is worried about the wings showing in PE? She didn't like the non wing ones she said they didn't feel secure and hasn't been able to use a tampon yet.

We just had this worry. My DD wore jogging bottoms and seemed happy with that.

Shorts or pe knickers under her skirt?

Perhaps suggest cycling shorts underneath tracksuit bottoms or looser shorts

Could she wear another pair of knickers over the top of her pad?

Would a second pair of dark coloured kickers on top of the first pair and the wings be helpful?
I'm old enough to remember the big navy knickers we wore for PE in the 70s!

DD's school had skorts for PE which got round this problem.

Does she have to wear a skirt? Many schools have skorts these days.

But I second wearing shorts underneath.

Ugh Fuss I was still wearing them during the 00's.

Navy Grots we called them.

I would try and get her some very short dark shorts to wear over knickers and under school skirt. Lots of the girls at DDs school do that. As long as they are short enough not to show under the skirt it's fine.

I would buy some Lycra short style knickers, try a dance shop. She can wear these over her normal pants. They sell them in m & s too.

Second pair of knickers over top of the first, white can work better to blend in with the wings.

eBay has gym knickers (wear over the top of regular pants) but for the love of god don't google image search 'gym knickers'

Marks and Spencer do a pack of 3 black shorts/ knickers which are very lightweight but do the job nicely
