Hi,

Those in the know, please help.

She is shy and body conscious (slightly overweight on the tum).
She doesn't socialise much and needs a boost of confidence. She dresses down and doesn't wear make up.

Which labels would I be looking at to spoil her a bit?

Has she asked for new clothes ? You said she dresses down what does she usually wear

Maudlinmaud · 14/12/2016 09:50

Jack Wills? Hollister?
Those have pretty casual choices, hoodies etc and are still popular.
Maybe give her vouchers so she can choose herself.

MrsJayy · 14/12/2016 09:53

Thats what i was thinking Jack willis, superdry etc hoodies you dont want to stray to far from theclothes she is comfy in ime

Maudlinmaud · 14/12/2016 09:59

Yes MrsJayy that's all they want to wear anyway and trainers don't forget the trainers.

MrsJayy · 14/12/2016 10:01

It is all about the Converse in our house

Gingerbreadmam · 14/12/2016 10:02

Trainers, ugg or timberland boots. Trainers i would go for something like adidas superstar or converse are a good call.

High street i would look at topshop, new look, river island.

Brands i'd say superdry, jack wills, hollister, maybe lipsy although thats a bit bling and tacky. Pink by victorias secret do lovely lounge wear.

Calvin klein underwear seems to be all the rage.

tinselknickers · 14/12/2016 10:51

Great ideas!

She hates shopping, doesn't like choosing and usually sticks to striped tops, jeans and converse type from New Look.

I'll go look at suggestions now.

Proper converse would probably be appreciated they are a bit more expensive but as a present she would love them.

MrsJayy · 14/12/2016 10:56

Fatface have some nice tops and 1 of my dds loves superdry zip up hoodies. Dd2 (18) likes Henry holland tops

Timetogetup0630 · 14/12/2016 19:19

DD 18 likes casual stuff from a company called Pull and Bear.

xarpax · 14/12/2016 19:27

Topshop, urban outfitters

Dd17 wouldn't wear jack wills, hollister or fat Face but her 14 year old sister would (actually even she wouldn't wear fat Face Grin)
