Can DD take herself to minor injuries?

DD(16) has hurt her finger (see other posts) and refuses to let me take her to Minor Injuries. She's said she'll go on her own on Monday if it still hurts, just wondering if it's okay to let her go?

Of course it's okay for her to go. Why wouldn't it be? She is old enough to consent to being treated if needed.

Of course it is! She is 16. I'm guessing minor injuries isnt far away?

Yes, I went to a&e on my own at 16yo when I got some metal shards embedded in my foot. They didn't bat an eyelid about me being on my own.

Across town, but a bus goes there every hour
Just checking, I'm a bit reluctant but I suppose she's going to do whatever she wants to

She could live by herself legally, many 16 year old do so yes, she can go alone.

RudeElf · 13/02/2016 17:01

Why are you reluctant?

MaybeIAmJustNotReasonable · 13/02/2016 17:03

Mainly because I don't want to accept my little girl is growing up SadConfused

Ahh. I thought maybe you were worried there was something going on because she said she wanted to go on her own but its just cutting apron string nerves .
