How much money to give for a 16th birthday

Hi. I know everyone is different but my son is 16 tomorrow and doesn't really want anything so we're just going to give him money. I've totally forgotten what I usually give and am not sure if 16 is considered a 'special' birthday. What seems reasonable? I'm going between £60, £80 or £100
Thanks

We had a 16 year old birthday in our house recently and gave my son £100, but I'm sure any amount would be appreciated.

It was DS's 16th today and he got from us a computer game he wanted, new ear bud headphones, iTunes voucher and £35 in cash. He couldn't think of anything he wanted bar the above. All in all it was about £80.

I consider a 16th to be the same as a 15th or a 14th.
What people spend on birthdays varies hugely, but I'd still go with whatever you normally give (be more like £20 here)

DD turned 16 a few months ago.

If anything it was a smaller b-day than usual as a) she didn't have anything expensive she was after, and b) I'd just forked out quite a lot for prom.
