self-balancing rover scooter (like segway with no handle)..anyone's dc got one?

Not mine, by I was chatting to dd2's friend's brother in the street the other day as he was balancing on one. Couldn't really see much point in it, tbh - Apart from the initial novelty value / being the first kid on the block to have one, I can't see how they are going to use them / 'play on' them.

Cool toy, but you're not allowed to have them in a public place eg pavement, road etc, so fairly limited chance to use it.

my thoughts as well..
waste of money
