I have a 14 year old girl who has been refusing to go to skl and for which I now have been fined!! Has anyone else experienced this?Confused

Why isn't she going to school? If its mental health issues you should be able to get a letter from your GP

How much school had she missed in the last school year?

How have you been working with the pastoral and attendance staff at the school to resolve this, since she first stopped going?

Well, if she doesn't want to go to school at all you can always deregister and become a home educating family.

One way to think about the fine is to think of it as a fee for the amount of school that she has been attending. Do you think it's worth it?

I think you have to respect her choice of educational setting, but of course that's quite controversial.
