Anyone recommend a nice/cool watch for a teen boy?

DS1, coming up for 15, needs a watch - he has only ever had cheap things before that have never lasted/haven't been worth putting new batteries in. I know they mainly use their phones now to tell the time, but he goes to a lot of things where he isn't allowed to take a phone.

He isn't that fussed about labels but some of his friends are, he needs something robust, practical and if it was a wee bit cool that would be good too. It can be full size - he is over 6 foot tall so doesn't need anything scaled down. Budget up to around £100. He doesn't like contrasting colours but does like blue/teal.

Thanks :)

My ds16 has this
Wears it all the time, it's lasted 18 months now and still going strong.

Ds1 is a watch addict, 14 and a half. He has a navy swatch, off for a link...

His is the mand size though.. It's big and chunky.. I think they've come down in price a lot as was over £100 when I got it for him for his 15th birthday

Yes, I know Ice watches were/are "in" I picked one up half price in the next sale but as its' Orange, I've put it away for DS2 (coming up 14) who likes bright things - DS1 is a bit more reserved but does like blue :)

Thanks all.

Swatches were a big thing when I was young in the 80s so wasn't aware that they were still in the game.

here the great thing about them is any fault within guarantee and they simply replace with a new one. Which we had to do with a faulty minute hand. You can also drop in for free cleaning and scratch removing, broken strap replacement, all sorts of bits to keep it looking nice, and all free of charge. Keep your receipt safe Wink

that's a lovely colour whois I was thinking maybe non digital though I think - the digital seems a bit childish now somehow, not sure why Confused

That's good to know puddled, nice watch - I think I had something a bit fancier in my head but DS1 would probably like that.

Just seen what the time is and I have work in the morning so I'd better shoot off to bed but will catch up on any other suggestions later :)

Thanks again.

I was going to suggest an "ice" watch. Dd asked for one for her birthday last year. I liked what I bought. From what I can see it combines the right sort of label, bling & hard wearing & they're ish ok on price
