Drunk Teenager - what would you do?

DS 17 has a few friends over, about 10 of them. I kept out of the way. At 1 I heard most of them leave. Going down to check on them and have a clear up, there are 4 left, intent on staying up all night. I see one of the boys slumped on the sofa with a bin in his arms. He is obviously drunk, with vomit on his trousers and sleeping. I make the boys wake him to make sure he is ok.

What would you do?

A. Take him home to his parents who I do not know.
B. Leave him to sleep it off with the boys watching him.

I'm sitting up with my own drunk teenager, so you have my sympathy.

Personally I would contact his parents if you can, and let them take responsibility for him - that's what I would want. It took two of us to get DS home.

I offered to take him home, the boys woke him and told him I was taking. That seemed to revive him a bit, he did not want to go.

I don't know his parents and felt a bit awkward to be turning up with their drunk son at 1.30.

I made the boys promise not to let him drink anything other than water and not to leave him alone. Cooked them some pizza and gave them chocolate biscuits. He came to a bit and said he was feeling better. I also gave him a clean pair of trousers to change into.

I have now gone to bed, worrying, but he did seem better and smiled. I don't think I would have left him if he had been unable to talk. Told the rest of them that if this happens to DS ever to call me.

I probably would have had them put him in a cold shower or at least dunk his head to revive him a little. He'll probably be OK with some food in him, hopefully it won't make him sicker.

I'd probably also check on him again in an hour. Just to be sure.

Well he survived. I left them to it, fell asleep. I heard them leave at about 7.

I came down at 9. They had done a good job of tidying up. Though his vomit covered clothes were lying in the garden. Got DS to put them in the washing machine.

Carpets and furniture seem fine.

Feel I have done my bit for a few weeks.

Think I would just have bagged the clothes and given to his parents!
