Does anyone know of a 1 year intensive Level 3 in Performing Arts/Dance?

DD & I are creating a backup plan for next year

We think she has a reasonable chance of getting a Level 6; whether or not she can get a DaDA/funding is anyone's guess

So her plan C (we are already on Plan B) is to get some UCAS points & try for a degree

So is there in existence a level 3 where she can get up to about 160 UCAS points in a year June 15 to August 16

I think it's a fairly forlorn hope.....

No, level 3 are 18 units which needs 2 yrs to complete.

I know generally; our local college used to run a compacted one year one specifically for dancers

& then they stopped because the funding changed Sad

She might be OK on the 90 credit diploma I think (if she did well)

Can she do the 90 credit diploma and a COPE (COPE will get her 70)?

KatyMac · 26/10/2014 17:40

She would need about 280

She has 75 & could maybe get that up to 135 in a year (2 dance exams & a Gold Arts Award)

What is COPE?

Do her subsidiary level 2's count for anything (I assume not)

COPE is Certificate of Personal Effectiveness

www.ucas.com/how-it-all-works/explore-your-options/entry-requirements/tariff-tables that's a link to the ucas tariff tables - but you could just ask the uni she's intending to apply to

She has to have something academic - otherwise it'd be dance exams

I think I need the 90 credit diploma - is that the first year of the 2 year course I wonder or it's own course
