I may be slightly paranoid as I have polycystic ovarian syndrome.

Dd's had her periods for a year or so but has only had one proper one ,all the rest have been very very light .Is this normal?

I think so, When i first started mine they were really light and sometimes 3months apart. But take her to gp if your worried. Better to be safe than sorry.

My 14 year old has only just started having 'normal' periods after a year. But I agree, if you're worried get some professional advice.

My dd is 14 and been having normal periods since she was 10 but they are all over the place

My 14 year old also started last year. Until recently they were very light and could be anything from 4 to 8 weeks apart. They are becoming more normal now and are usually about 5 weeks apart. So I think you daughter is within in the normal range. But I agree with everyone else take her to the doctors if you are worried.
