Has anyone else out there got a teenage DS addicted to LOL? I just don't see what's so great about it, by my younger two can't get enough of it! I know they are socialising with their friends at the same time, but I still can't see why it's so compelling. Confused

DS2 (16) is addicted to LOL. He also plays Hearthstone. He plays with friends while Skyping. He even watches tournaments of it online. It's a step up from Runescape I think. More battles.
I have always had mixed feelings about gaming. We are very rural and he has no friends within miles, in turn his friends live in villages, so this is how he socialises.
The game itself is harmless and hugely popular.
My only issue is the sheer length of time he spends on it, unlike DS1 he has always had a tendency to not know when to give it a break.

I agree that it's the length of time they spend on it that concerns me. My oldest DS (19) has been known to stay up all night playing LOL. In fact he's probably doing it now at Uni where I can't see him!
