My dd is 20, didnt do to well at school came out with a few gcses, went on to college to retake! Moved out at 17 and worked retail jobs and then onto care and did her nvqs in health and social care, moved back at 19 and went travelling with friend, has come back landed herself another job in private hospital and opted to do an open uni degree in health and social care, is a new job and degree to much to take on

She sounds fantastic, you must be proud of her. If she works with her tutor and paces herself, I'm sure she'll cope.

I've completed an OU degree whilst working part time when my twins were babies. She'll be fine. My only advice would be not to get extensions on any assignments - it's very tempting but just puts you behind and it's very hard to catch up. Keep to the OU schedule and it's manageable. OU degrees are completed in modules so if she needs a bit of a break she can take some time off between modules if she wants.

She sounds like a hard worker and someone to be very proud of Grin
