Actually, the best bit of teen common sense is the natural conclusion arising from teens being digital natives.

I have perfect tech support, and the bolshy preteen is kicked off unsuitable sites by teen brothers more rapidly than a rapid hyena in the 100 yard dash.

The 14 y old happens to be a boy, although his younger sister doesn't have much common sense either.
