My son is now 15 and made friends with his teachers daughter on his first day of secondary school.
She is his first and may be his only girl friend in his life.
He is doing well at school and his teacher has said she would be perfectly happy to have him at some point as a son in law.
Why do people keep on saying he should try other girls?.
Even though the relationship started early I am happy as a mother. I know where he is likely to be if he is out.

It seems like the gf mum was paying a compliment by saying she would like him as SIL. Let them enjoy this, see what happens, be there for them. Its awful that people are saying he should 'try' other girls...like he should sow some oats...yuck.

I don't understand if they've been in a relationship since year 7 or have just been friends since then and recently started dating? Because if the latter then you need to slow down, and even with the first one its really weird for you to be thinking like this
