Teenage boy with shooting pains 'all over'

Hi. My son is 14 and a few weeks ago said he had ashore neck/head but didn't seem to bothered by it and it sounded like shooting pains rather than constant. I asked him how it was now and he said he gets pains all over ie neck, head arms and legs. Because I tend to get a bit anxious about health I tried to ask him more but he told me to stop going on and he was telling me any more!
He does seem to be growing a bit just now but wondered if this would happen with a growth spurt.
Thanks

It could be growing pains. I can still remember the horrible cramps in my legs. Only made it to 5'2" ironicly.

My son 13 often has growing pains in his legs and feet. I usually suggest Paracetamol, a warm bath and a hottie bottle. He is over six foot tall and has size 12 feet.
