Don't know if to be cross or worried?

Ds1 is 16 and is going to a party at a college friends house. He went out this afternoon and said he would be back 5-5.30 to have his hair cut shower and change. He's not home yet. I've tried calling and texting but his phone goes straight to voicemail. For all his sins he's never usually late home.

I can't get ready to go out until I know he's ok.

Have you any of his friends numbers? His mobile is probably out of battery.

I'd be cross.
His phone should be on, and he should be available by text.
There'd be Consequences for making me worry.

Yes if he turns up before he's due to go to the party I don't feel he can be trusted to go?

He's supposed to be contactable at all times. He's been cagey about giving us the address of this college friend.

I've Facebook messages him and a couple of his friends. None of the numbers I have for his friends are connecting. So that's on the list to make sure is up to date.

He turned up safe and well. Apparently he needs a new battery for his phone. Seems a bit convenient.

I don't want to start the new year with an argument so he's gone to his party and the re paid for taxi will pick him up at 1am. I am only next door with the other dc so will probably be home just gone midnight.

Thanks dingit. He's not normally late that was the worry. He has been very apologetic this morning and even treated us all to a nandos.
