This morning DD aged 13 who can be snotty, ungrateful, rude and dismissive about almost everything, opened her 'big' pressie of a Samsung Tablet - and squealed with joy, barely able to speak and just rushed across the room and hugged us both, 'oh thank you, thank you'.

Just lovely.

I'm not certain she counts (as she's not quite 13), but can I say a huge thank you to DD2 for sterling 2yo entertaining for the last two days.

DF and her DH have come to stay, my DDs are 12 and 15, the house is not child proofed and she has watched him for ages.

Also the little boy, who has been lovely.

He doesn't fiddle and climb, he plays with TOYS.

This concept was utterly beyond DD1.

She is a 1000x easier at 15 years than as a toddler.

My DD 18 cooked the Christmas dinner for all of us whilst I was working on Christmas morning! She did I great job and I'm very proud of her. It's her first year of working nd she spent way too much money on our pressies!

DS holding my hand tight as we walked around my old university town for half an hour.

DD being generally much happier and more communicative.

DD and DS dancing together last nightSmile
