My dd1 (almost 14) has a 'boyfriend' (oooh for all of 2 weeks!). She goes to a school with only 45 in her year group which led directly on from primary, so she's known this lad since P2.

He asked her out by FB messaging the Scouting For Girls song "She's So Lovely".

It's Christmas holidays and she's asked if she can go into the city centre to meet him and do last minute shopping, promising she'll be home by 4.30 - it's 20 min on the bus.

She's my eldest, and I was so geeky/unattractive at school (glasses, braces etc) that this never happened to me.

They're going to be wandering about the Christmas market, going to drink hot chocolate, probably (she said to me hopefully) holding hands. They've hugged, but no kissing yet!

I think it's all rather sweet. This is ok, isn't it?

She gets the bus through the city centre every day for school so that part is no big deal. But I feel like I'm 103, which would mean her birth at the age of 99 would be a miracle!!
