But he is a young, immature, unhappy 20 and I am so worried about him. I don't know how to help him. So much has backfired to hurt both me and him. Can I talk here? Are there people out there with dcs that age that still worry about them? I have been on mumsnet for a long time, but there doesn't seem much for nearly grown up dcs.

I don't have a 20 year old but there are plenty that do.
However old they are you still worry about them, so my mother tells me. My friend is beside herself over her 36 year old DS's problems.
Lots of people come on here about DCs who are 11/12 so I am sure 20 can count as a teen!

Of course you can talk here. I started posting about my ds here when he was 12 (he's 19 next week) and I suspect I'll still be here when he's 30 .

What's the problem?

I have two adult children (21 and 23) and I worry about them as much now as I have ever done, in some ways it is harder because I can no longer protect them nor take away their pain or worries.

I have a 20 year old just because they are grown up doesn't mean you don't worry about them post here people will reply or in chat they don't mind a child related chat

My eldest turns 20 in a few months and I can tell you I certainly do worry about him - more than I do his younger siblings.

Is there something specifically that is worrying you OP which prompted you to post?

I have posted lots of times about my now 20 yr old DS1... they don't magically mature on their 20th birthday sadly!
