DD1 and I were talking about periods today and she told me that at her school (all girls) you can go to the nurse and get a hot water bottle if you have period pains. I said I thought this was fantastic and we didn't have anything like that in my school, we wouldn't have been so open about it even if we had. She said that they all walk about openly with their hotties, but the Year7's will often look embarrassed so the older ones will give her a knowing smile, or stop and check she's ok, needs any towels etc.
I thought it all sounded lovely, good to know that teens aren't all bad.
