Can anyone recommend a bank account please? I've tried doing research but not had any success. We bank with Lloyds TSB and theirs seems quite good but would appreciate any other opinions. Thanks in advance Smile

Think you need to see what she's looking for.....
interest rates?
cashpoint card?
debit card?
internet banking?
phone banking?
to be able to walk into the bank and talk to someone?
Is she saving or is it for ease of spending?
is there a regular saving amount each month ?
etc

She wants a debit card and to have somewhere safe to keep the money she earns from her Saturday job. If she can save, that would be a bonus. The Lloyds interest rate isn't that good but it's OK. Thanks for your reply.

We opened Under 19 accounts with Lloyds TSB for both DCs.
They get a debit card but no overdraft facility and from 16 they can bank online with it. It also pays interest at 2.5% which I thought quite good for a current account.
I pay some of their pocket money in.

my 16yo has an under-19's account with Lloyds TSB

it has everything she needs, including internet banking too so we put her allowance straight into it

Thanks for this, SecretSquirrels. I think this seems like the best bet.

Cross post but glad that this is the consensus! Grin
