What do your boys wear on their feet for school? I am having the annual battle with mine about it all.

The school wants proper school shoes...which of course look smarter....but the boys want trainer/van type shoes do they can play footsie in their breaks.

I can see both sides of the argument, shoes won't last 2 mins if they play footie in them.....if they take trainers to swap into they end up leaving them at school or they get lost.

Previous years they have just about got away with completely black trainers but with a new headmaster I wonder if they will this year....plus I can't find any out there!!!!!

I hate this, girls are easier.

I always have the same problem!

They go to a v strict school uniform wise so DS1 used to have some proper school shoes and then a cheap pair of trainers to change in to. He lost them a couple of times but they were only £9 each time so I wasn't too bothered.

DS2 likes those stupid pointy shoes from Topman so I've said if he ruins them he can replace them!

lol DS wanted the black nike air - "only £90 a pair mum!!" - me - "oh is that all son, tell you what, have 2 pair" - DS "really?"

DS1 eventually agreed to have a pair from Top Man. They are a bit like pumps but leather. I think they were £28. All other suggestions I made were ridiculed!
