A and AS results next week - how are your DC feeling?

I think my DD is really quite nervous. She's always done quite well and she puts a lot of pressure on herself.

I've told her repeatedly that she worked really hard and that's the important thing but I know it's not what she feels.

How's everyone else's DC getting on?

DD2 is wearing her 'casual' face if we mention it, but then said she wanted me to take her to get the results! (A levels) It hadn't even occurred to me she'd want me there as DD1 didn't. Unfortunately I have to drive 300 miles on the day to my Nan's funeral so can't take her anyway:(

I'm nervous.. because if she doesn't get into her first choice Uni she will be gutted. Not to mention the hell of trying to find accommodation for her insurance choice.

I went through this 2 years ago with DD1 (for medicine so that was nailbiting time!) and I swear it ages me Grin

However I am preparing to sacrifice our cats to the God and hoping for good results ....

Its scary waiting for results isn't it, especially when we can do nothing about it?
FYI there is another thread under Further Education in the Education section entitled Butterflies which is discussing a similar topic.

DS1 has AS results next week and DS2 has GCSE's the flowing week.
Neither of them are in the least bit bothered.
I'm far more nervous than they are!

Ds looking at army careers website as I read this. In case he fails !( AS).
So I think he's worried.
He says he has no idea how they went, but he has always done well.
One day he's hoping for Russell Group, the next this!

Waycat, I'm nervous too.

DS1 (AS) is nervous. He is desperate to go to Sandhurst, his application is in and will be gutted if he doesn't get in after A levels.

DS2 has done some early GCSEs and is nervous about those too.

I'm nervous too!
