My DD2 (18) got back from her first Zante holiday tonight...

She had a great time..and she and her friends are in one piece ... bruised, burned and exhausted.... but OMG OMG...

She is usually a sensible girl.. quite a home body, rarely goes out or gets drunk..
but this week...... I'm glad she feels she can tell me everything, but sometimes it would be kinder not to Grin

She is grounded til she is 30.....:D

DS1 went a few years ago post-A2s. Cured him of ever wanting to do that sort of holiday again. Thankfully several years have passed and the details he told me are now erased from my memory.

Oh no. I don't want to imagine.
DS1 is yearning to go on a lads holiday. The seedier the better. He is 16 and counting down until he is 18. (He did ask me when he would be allowed to go and I said 35).

Put it this way..the last two remaining virgins of their group (7 girls and one gay boy) aren't now. Honestly NORMALLY they are the most sensible bunch of 18 yr olds (all post A level) kids you can imagine.. NOT the sort to throw their bikini tops into the crowd....

DD2 said the reps were actually very good and got those who had gone past being safe drunk, back to their hotels but DD2 said she has never drunk so much in her life and it really was, drink all night partying and sex. I'd rather she had kept the last bit to herself to be honest... (she was 'safe' but nevertheless..)

Mind you a group of her male friends did the same sort of holiday a few weeks earlier and their tales are even worse Shock

I have told her she isn't going to University after all...I'm committing her to a convent Grin

I guess just a TEENY bit of me is jealous cos I never got to do that!!!

Crumbs. At least she didn't come back married to a waiter!! Always a bright side!!

( a girl I knew at school DID! Her parents weren't impressed, especially as they had to pay for the divorce)

Oh I wish I hadn't read this! My ds2(17) flew there last night. Haven't heard from him yet to say he arrived safely. He was under strict instructions to just text to says he's alive.

Is he lying in a gutter already? Did his plane never touch down in Zante? Can he not be arsed to let his old mother know he exists? Think it may be the latter!

I take it she went to Slagana Laganas then? I used to work there and was horrified to see what some of the tourists would get up to. Often you'd see people at it in the corner of a bar (or in one salubrious establishment, a shower installed for that very purpose) or in the street. It was quite an education.

No I didn't ask... DD2 has always been very sharing! I have 4 teens and the the others are quite private , but DD2 has always told me about her life..and her friends. Generally it's quite tame, thank god!

On the plus side It does mean if she is ever worried, or upset about something she tells me, and on balance I'd rather have it that way. Also thankfully she is off to Uni in September and as a poor student won't be able to afford another holiday like that for a long time... (she paid for this with her p/t job) so at least it was a one off experience.

Parttimeslave... sorry Grin I'm sure your son is fine.. probably having an amazing time and if he's under 18 he MIGHT not be getting blind drunk... maybe?!

DS got back from Ibiza at the weekend. he seems not to have done anything too outrageous, possibly because he was with just one, relatively sensible, friend, but still they were out clubbing till 6am most nights.

I think the larger the group. the lower the average IQ goes Hmm. He took condoms but said he didn't get off with anyone, but did bring lots of bottles of absinthe home to sell at a profit.

DS2 phoned on his mate's phone - no signal on his. He was about to hit the town having had no sleep for 24 hours! Warned him about drinking when totally overtired.

He expects to contact me again in a few days. Ah well - onwards and upwards....

Ds1 is an over sharer too. I'm dreading when he gets back from his first holiday. He is also 16 and counting the time down.

It's like that awful program where the parents spy on their kids abroad. As a parent why would you want to do that? Really, why?

I have offered to pay for my ds I go away with his mates next year for his 18th. We've been discussing where he should go. I'm now thinking camping in my back garden!Wink

My ds went to barcelona with his mates last year I had to close my ears to most of it and the endless photos of bums lined up on beaches at night. They planned zante this year but none got jobs only the girls and off they went! It is such a relief when they get back in one piece there is literally nothing that bothers you about what they got up to Grin

noddyholder - not only did DS1 go on holiday to Zante (see earlier post ... can't dwell on it!) he then went to Barcelona for his 21st and stayed in the red light district off the Ramblas. He liked it so much that he now works there (but is very respectable nowadays as far as I know)

OMG. Just heard from ds2 (see previous posts). He's just had his room ransacked while out at lunch. Clothes and money stollen and spent last four hours at the police station. All I could do was shout at him on the phone for not putting money in the safe. I don't know how many times I told him to do this before he left.

Wants me to wire him more money. I'm not going to for now. He can borrow off his mates. I feel sorry for him, but he's got to learn not to be such an IDIOT.

I looked at my daughter's holiday photos - she's about to be 18 and is just back from a holiday in Cyprus with her mates.

Several pictures of a man's (or perhaps men's) naked hairy arseholes and balls.

The arseholes looked clean but that's the most positive thing I can say about it.

Ho hum. As some of you say, at least she came back in one piece.

LOL Flicka..... my DD2 lost her camera on the last night... she was gutted, but I am relieved I want have to SEE what she did! (other than some of the cleaner ones her friends have put on facebook!)

Hope she isn't planning on printing any enlargements...:D

I shouldbn't really have looked but she doesn't tell me much and I was curious.

Serves me right!
