From us. I wouldn't consider giving him anything if it wasn't his 18th. I thought of champagne, but I'm not sure (knowing him the way I do) that he wouldn't think.... I don't like champagne....... :(

Daughter, or son? May I ask why a token?

chocoluvva · 23/07/2012 20:36

Sorry. What a hash I've made of this thread Embarrassed emoticon ! Present is for DD's boyfriend.
Token in the sense of something to mark the occassion, rather than a really personal, meaningful present IYSWIM

Ah, ok. How about an iTunes voucher for a tenner or whatever?

DilysPrice · 23/07/2012 20:45

Ask your DD. How about a cinema voucher for them to have a night out together?

Champagne (or cava) would be nice

18 £1 coins or 18 of his favourite chocolate bars or bags of sweeties.

Bagelmonkey, that's a FANTASTIC idea. Thankyou very much :)

I gave my friend's daughter a choice of £18 or a delve into my Hollister bag of goodies. She went for Hollister and did much better!
