What age to go to Thorpe Park Unsupervised

What age would you let your almost teens go to Thorpe Park on your own? My soon to be 13 year olds (3 weeks) want to go tomorrow with a friend and no parents.

I'm a bit concerned about there being no supervising adult in the vicinity (we are an hour's drive away) but they are adamant that they will be fine.

I would let them go off around the park on their own with a phone if I was there but feel uneasy about them being there solo.

i'm not so sure i think that 12 is a little young to go on the tube on their own but if you drop them off then i think that will be ok

My eldest went with two friends at 13, but friend's dad dropped them off and hung around in a cafe in the vicinity. So they went round all alone, but had someone there to take them home at the end of the day and on the end of a mobile phone if they got into any trouble. I was happier with a small group than a big one, as big groups make it harder to say no to something you don't want to do.

They had a whale of a time and nothing even minorly bad happened. I'd say yes.
