Ive got one dd abed 18 mo & Haven't posted on the teenager board before-

So hoping this is an ok place to post this- its my Nephews bday next week he'll be 14 quite a young 14 I'd say, have no clue what to get him & am looking for inspiration, he's got all the usual phone, computer games etc. he's really into drama & has just started a drama group at the weekends. Budget around £50.

Going to see something like comedy show for teens or an actual doing thing might be an idea rather than a shirt & a pair of socks. Grateful for your ideas. :)

Thanks thisname I didn't think of props/ consumes but given what his mum pays for the classes I was hoping that would all be included. Eek!

Anyone know of shows that teenagers would like? I think he really likes Lee Evans but don't know if some of it is a bit adult or not.

Any theatre or comedy show will go down well if he's into drama - seeing live performances is such a powerful and exciting experience, esp. if he hasn't before...

The Mighty Boosh and Big Bang Theory (both comedy shows) seem to be popular with bright boys this kind of age... You can get both on DVD. There are other popular comedies, but they have more 'adult' content (The Inbetweeners for instance)

Games for PS/X-box/etc. always go down well, but you'll need to talk to him to find out what he wants.

The Dungeons (London, York...) seem to go down especially well with boys in the 11-14 age range... If you go with him, tho', be prepared to be burned at the stake! Wink

If he's geeky at all, he might want a raspberry pi - my younger son does!

The Science Museum sell lots of great gadgets online...
