DD's first boyfriend. What was it like for you?

DD is 14 and in her first proper relationship. You'd be pushed to find a nicer boy- they've been very good friends since nursery, he's incredibly polite, charming, clever and is my 4 yo DS's absolute hero. Oh, and he's also very good-looking. :)
Silently freaking out because my little girl is growing up so fast, but to be, y'know, 'normal' about it. What were your first reactions to your DD's first boyfriend? Did your daughters even tell you? I found out because boy in question was hanging round our house in an even more besotted way than usual and he mentioned something!
Thanks.

DD is nearly 17 and has been with her lovely BF for 9 months.

DD told me instantly about him (in defence she is a complete oversharer Blush ) She then marched him up to her GP's and Auntie and Uncle for a routine inspection. She was similarly marched to his parents and relatives. We have met all his family too (at the BF instigation, he was desperate for us to all know each other). They are besotted.

I am very happy that they are so happy, IYSWIM?

BF is almost exactly like DH. I can see this one going on for a long time......
