She would be going with a mixed sex group of friends of the same age.

At the moment it looks like one of the friends mums will be driving them there and back (we are in brum)

I don't know anyone that has ever been, so I have no idea if it is a good idea or not.

I went many years ago (when it was in Great Yarmouth) and it was a very tame day out, definitely suitable for teenagers.

Thank you Smile

Dd will be very pleased with my decision.

My dd went last year at 14 and had a great time. She got the coach there and back and I was pleasantly surprised that she managed it all ok!

Just posted and lost it somehow.
Dd 15 and a couple of mates are going. They are being driven there and will be collected. I will regard this as a "be sensible and you may be allowed to spread your wings a little further" trip.

Will report back after the event

DN went last year (I think she'd just had her birthday and turned 15), on a coach, from Brum. MAnaged fine and she's not the most sensible or organised of teenagers.

I live near the venue in question, and it is regarded as a safe day out, the whole of Weston is full of teenagers.
I would say as long as they took sensible steps, ie have a plan for getting split up, have mobile numbers written down as well as in phones.
There is very little crime related to the day, and generally the only thing they will have to watch out for is over priced burgers!

My two DDs, 16 and 14, have been for the last two years. The first year I drove them as we live fairly close, but last year they caught the train along with about a million other teenagers. T4OTB is designed for this age group - the whole of Weston is filled with 12 - 18 year olds on the day. Don't worry, she'll be absolutely fine, just stick with her friends.
