Surprise 16 birthday party for your ds?

I am thinking of holding a surprise birthday for my soon to be 16 year old ds. He is one of a group of about 10 who are great friends.

I just haven't done anything like this ever, and am wondering if ye think its a good, or bad idea?

He is the eldest child in the family, and I worry about him being embarrassed by his siblings, etc. I would love to give him a party of some sort, any ideas?

It sounds like a lovely idea. What sort of things does he like doing?
