Feel like complaining on dd's behalf but not sure it will do any good...

Dd 14 likes this band called Black Veil Brides. Went to see them in concert on Saturday after thinking it was going to be cancelled as lead singer broke his nose. Had a great time. Anyway she found out they were going to do a meet and greet / signing new Cd session at HMV in Oxford Street today. She has an inset day so brilliant timing. So she and 2 mates leave home at 7.30 to get to HMV early to get one of 200 wrist bands to give them access to band signing back at the store at 5pm. They got bands, really happy and buy new CDs to be signed and spend rest of day getting v excited. Go back to HMV to find that they aren't going to be there after all, will be at a club in Soho from 7.30pm . And as they aren't 18 they wouldn't be allowed, never mind the fact we as parents wouldn't let them be out in Soho on their own then.
She rang to tell me they were coming home and just sounded so disappointed. It reminded me of a grown up, not being angry, but disappointed in someone's behaviour.
There was no explanation. I don't know if it is worth complaining. Just feel very let down on dd's behalf.

i know how disappointing it would be. My DD is 14 and she would be so upset.
Does the band have a twitter or tumbler?. Can't your DD put a comment on there to say they went to HMV and how disappointed they were that they didn't get to meet them. Not in complaining way IYSWIM, just to express their disappointment.

Of course you should complain if you can figure out how to do it. Can you get in touch with their agent and arrange for the band to sign the cd for her?

Maybe a question on the band's twitter and facebook pages, as bruffin suggested. Although it seems unlikely, maybe there was a good reason. And maybe they'll feel very guilty and give your dd VIP passes to their next concert!

TBH I think she would have been far more upset if it was one of her really favourite bands. Guess there might be some poster swapping in her bedroom

Who would you complain to?? Maybe you need to leave it up to her and not get involved in any drama. I hardly think the band are going to be worrying about it.
