Gift suggestions for 13YO girl

My son is going to a 13YO girls party and we are stuck with what to get her.
He's asked her and I've asked her Mum but they don't know.

If it were me giving the gift I'd choose some jewelry, but as it's from DS he doesn't feel comfortable giving her something like that.

So, vouchers it is then! So, where are all the cool 13 year old girls spending their money these days?!

Topshop/American Apparel/Urban Outfitters are always popular destinations as far as I know.

Or itunes is always popular with my girls. And one of my DDs got a Starbucks voucher for her birthday (she's 15 though) and loved it, she uses it when she goes to town with her friends and they stop for coffee/hot chocolate. Apparently getting a coffee voucher is 'grown up'

My DD aged 13 says vouchers at any of the above places would be fab!

It depends how much you want to spend, alot of girls love Cath Kidston stuff, you can buy a nice mug for just £5, and put some chocolates in it!

I think you made the right decision.
It is nice to get people personable gifts but I think nearly all teenage girls (or teenagers full stop!) appreciate being able to go shopping with their own ''funds''.

Girls are much easier to buy for than boys usually! If she is into cinema then a voucher (Hunger Games etc) if she has an Amazon account ditto - if he knows her e-mail addy he can search and then he doesn't have delivery problems.
My DS's 'girlfriend' is as thin as a rake and loves biscuits so he is preoccupied with how to get the magnificent tin to her as it is not really on to take it to school! I

f(?) she is on FB her favourites will be listed and he should get a clue.

My DS now 17 says steer clear of clothes make-up and ewellery as you are bound to get it wrong!

It is lovely when they are so focussed though! I was talking to DD and her friend and advised them to appreciate this devotion whilst it lasted as one day it vanishes as if it had never been...
