Daughter's boyfriend turned nasty

The boyfriend (18) turned up at the house drunk last evening, completely lost his temper, kicked an internal door in and dragged it off its hinges. She was petrified. He sent me a text saying how sorry he is, that my daughter is the only good thing in his life, that he loves her etc. In reply I have said he is to stay out of the house and told him he will have to pay the bill. I have told my daughter (16) not to see him again but have little hope she will take any notice. Clearly his life has suddenly turned itself around as while I was talking to him I could hear girls laughing in the background. I should have called the police, asked for him to be charged and seen his apprenticeship go down the tubes. Like I would care if it did. He lives alone as his father is working in the Far East. Just venting really - anyone else have (or has had) problems with an dangerous, infantile boyfriend hanging around? She now wants to forgive him and will not discuss the matter at all. Any thoughts/suggestions. At wits' end

Sorry WMD, my kids are a bit too young for me to be going through this, but I didn't want your post to be ignored, someone will be along soon, I'm sure.

whilst it is obvious that he is clearly a cock, you must not allow him to put a wedge between you and your daughter.

if she is going to forgive him - as you thnk she will, if you act nastily towards him - you are going to be enemy number one.

thats going to leave your daughter in a situation - if he kicks off again, where she won't feel like she can come to you.

do you have a big burly man to kick his fucking teeth in?
