When do they get a sense of smell?

Just picked up dds boyfriend with her, to drop them off at a mates party. Poor lad smells like his tipped the whole aftershave bottle over himself.
TBH if anyone gets a flame near him he'll probably ignite. Didn't want to put the car window down, but could hardly breathe.

I bet it was Llynx, truly amazing how it seems to coat ones' entire respiratory system for hours.

Having 2x DSs, it's banned from our house now!

WotzNotNot · 05/02/2011 20:31

Could have been, dear lord it reminded me of old spice!

My DSs are 13 and 22!

DS1 and i discovered 'Charles Worthington' a few years back, but we can't find it anymore,it was lovely. Sad

I have actually stood in Tescos, spraying and sniffing every male deodorant they have..much to the puzzlement of the other shoppers!

Jellykat I LOVE Blue Stratos - it reminds me of my first love..ahhh. Actually, to swine chucked me for a lass with a blonde wedge haircut.Grrr Did not turn me off Blue Stratos though.

almondfinger · 05/02/2011 22:39

I love Old Spice, a gorgeous bf in college used it (more subtly) and I could have eaten him up! I probably did once or twice Wink

Jellykat · 05/02/2011 22:48

LittleP -Have to admit to wearing it myself in my youth, only occasionally though..

I have a thing about a fabric conditioner, that one of my first boyfriends' mum used to wash his clothes in.. Never found out what it was,but have occasionally smelt it on people, and go a bit goosebumpy Grin

LittlePushka · 05/02/2011 23:18

Well if we are "sharing" Jellykat, I will admit to looking for it in Boots for a reminisce sniff Wink - would probably dab a bit behind me lug,.. should I find any!

Jellykat · 05/02/2011 23:45

HeeHee LittleP

Am pretty sure i've seen it in a larger than normal, Lloyds chemist.. Grin

LittlePushka · 05/02/2011 23:56

Mmm,...interesting Jellykat, interesting. However i do think my chemist sniffage is far more legit than you chasing random folk down the street in a semi-ecstatic state, whilst sniffing their fleeces...

(Wonder if it is Comfort Original? Major market leader in early 1980's. Bet you now go have a sniff of that in Tesco's when you are next there!!! )

Jellykat · 06/02/2011 00:15

Aaah I most certainly will have to give that a go!! I have tried to seek it out in the past, but am older now,so maybe i have more discerning nostrils..Grin

If you think that's bad, you should see me in furniture shops..you can always find me in the sofa/armchair section, breathing deeply amidst the leather! Wink

WotzNotNot · 08/02/2011 22:28

apparently it was Diesel

I breathed a sigh of relief when DS changed from smelling like a rotting compost heap to Lynx. Then I realised the Lynx was to drown out the other fragrant aromas instead of showering!

Thankfully he now showers and we only smell the Lynx. Next step in evolution must be something nicer, can't wait!
