Recent IOS update has made my phone almost unusable

Hi, I have an Amazon phone screen (not apple) due to a cracked screen so purchased a £15 one from Amazon due to being much cheaper than Apple screens (plus it's a iPhone XR so not worth new screen cost).
However, I regret installing the latest IOS update as my phone is going crazy, lots of ghost touches, clicking on things I'm not pressing, it's a nightmare, really erratic, to the point where I'm going to have to turn off my Lock Screen code due to it pressing random numbers and locking me out due to incorrect numbers being pressed. I feel forced to now purchase a new phone, when I was happy with my £10 a month sim only contract getting me by.
It was working fine before this IOS update.
Does anyone know how to calm the ghost touches down please?
Also, if I switched to an android or google phone, how easy is it to transfer all your data from Apple to google?
I'm surprised I could type this post.
Many thanks!

Get in touch with Apple and ask first without mentioning the screen change. The last but 1 update screwed up my phone and they told me they were aware of issues and to download the next update when it comes out. My iphone had issues, the rest of my families phones were fine, I have a different model to them!

I rang Apple and shared my screen and they ran diagnostics on my phone, it's come up as an alert.
He said I need to go to Apple Store but I don't think it's worth paying for a new screen as it's an old phone.
maybe it's time for that iPhone upgrade after 4 years?!!

France have it right by not allowing Apple to insist on using only Apple products at only Apple stores to replace the parts. Have you got a local phone repair shop, perhaps they might have an idea? Did you put the new screen on yourself?

It hasn't done it at all today, so, fingers crossed!

Yes ordered the screen from Amazon and put it on.
Phone shops just do fad screens too, but charge you £60 for it.
