Most providers offer monthly pricing for SIMs nowadays- I’m not sure that pay as you go type deals exist anymore (where you have x credit and you can use it indefinitely until the credit needs topping up but you pay per minute of call / text). The monthly deals are much better value though.

I use Smarty and pay £8 a month. Unlimited calls and texts and 16GB data which is more than enough for my use. Can use it when travelling in Europe too without any extra costs. No contract - you just have to give a month’s notice to cancel whenever you want to leave.

It’s worth checking what the network coverage is like for the major networks in your area (Vodafone, O2, Three and EE) and then choosing a provider that uses one that will work in your area. Smarty uses the Three network (but is significantly cheaper than getting a SIM direct from Three).

If you wanted to give Smarty a try, you can use my link to sign up and we both get up to £40 in gift cards.

I've had a rolling plan with Giffgaff for years without any problems. I like the having the ability to change plans from month to month as my data needs vary wildly.

Same.

Most months I only need the £6 pm plan.

I use 1p mobile, it runs on EE network and just as fast as when I was with EE. My plan is £15pm on a rolling 30 days so can leave whenever I like its nlimited calls, texts and 100G of data at exactly half the price EE wanted when I left them.

Lots of plans so you dont have to spend £15 if you require less data

When selecting a SIM card, choose a provider with strong network coverage in your area to ensure reliable calls and fast data. Register Sim Additionally,
