Need some urgent help with ipod and iTunes.

So I have managed to put my husbands ipod touch in the washing machine and ruined it. We have a spare put we are struggling to download his library from our imac. I think the reason being is that we need to update the software on imac but I can't do that because I have an important accounting package that won't work on a newer version. Is there anyway on downloading straight onto the ipod? We are due to go on holiday tomorrow and he's going to be a right grump.

Do imacs still exist? You may as well have said emacs.

I have an ipod but not itunes... on spotify I would just use my spotify account from the ipod. Can you do that with itunes, why do you need to use imac?

Is iTunes still a thing? I thought everything was on iCloud now.

My DH has all his music on iTunes so he can listen offline. And I love my imac, it's worked perfectly from the day we bought it.

I can't seem to find a way to download directly on ipod from iTunes.

If it’s backed up onto the cloud you can just download the back up from there.

I don't have apple music so don't think I can save to icloud.

You have to factory reset then download the backup. But you will lose everything that’s already on that iPod if you do that.

Where was his iPod touch backed up to?

Id assume the cloud? If not then can’t you backup the imac to the cloud and sync the iPod to the cloud.
