I work in finance, for an IT company. All employees, including me - the only non-techy person- have been set a challenge to create a basic no code/low code app on PowerApps, to win prizes.
I have free time at the moment and I would like to win maybe one of the small "participation" type prizes. I would also like to at least put up a brave fight against the techy people. I think I'll get some brownie/self pity points if I submit anything at all lol.
I have spent so many hours this week watching YouTube videos, Microsoft learn tutorials and reading a bloomin "Beginners" guide I paid good money for.
I. Dont. Have. A. Clue. I was getting on quite well with a blank canvas "Leave Request", by watching a youtube vid. One click seemed to wipe a critical piece of "code" and now its not functional. I almost cried. The undo button does nothing! I've spent about 6 hours so far and all I have is a home page and some navigation on Page 2, which now doesnt navigate!
My questions is....does anyone know any sites or videos that are available which show a step-by-step tutorial on how to work with one of the "out the box" templates that are available via Microsoft? I cant understand why all the YouTube videos are building from scratch when there is literal templates there that do the same thing!
I've tried using the templates but I cant get my data source "in" and every tiny customization I make sends the whole thing loopy.
I'm almost ready to give up!
