Which iPhone to get - XS or XR

I need to replace my phone soon as it's on it's last legs and I don't know which iPhone to get, possibly choosing between the XS and XR. I would like one which has a good camera as the pictures my iPhone 8 takes look very grainy compared to other people's I've seen. I don't want to spend too much a month so the iPhone 11 is probably too expensive.
If anyone has an iPhone XR or XS, I'd be really grateful if you could tell me if you'd recommend either and if you think the camera is very good

We were just discussing this tonight! Relative has the XR and is very happy with it because it has great battery life. Photos look ok too but obviously not as good as the 11 (I went from a 6 to an 11 so I’m ecstatic with the photos I’m taking now)
