Tragus healing - how long till I can change it ?

It's about a year old and I am patiently waiting to change it (I'd go to the Piercer)

I have a daith that I waited over 2 years and my forward helix is still unchanged 2 years on.though I am happy with that so leaving it .

I don't know yet what I want , maybe a curved bar ?

How long did anyone else give their piercing before changing it ?

I'd say out of the three that the forward helix has been the most stubborn to heal up .

You're more patient than me, I think I changed my tragus after about 6 months. It's a bit fiddly but I've usually managed to change it myself. I've got a daith too that's about 8 months old which I'm itching to change but the darned thing keeps getting lumps so I'm holding off for now.

Changed daith stud to a ring after 2 months, frequently change to all different designs

Tragus I intended to wait but the ball came off when I was turning it after about a week and it fell, lost it so had to put an emergency ring in, bought another stud which fell apart again, now have a better and shorter stud in of a crescent moon. Been fine/lucky

I've changed all my cartilage piercings as soon as they were fully healed after 3 months or so - so no swelling around the hole or crusting, the jewellery moves freely and there is no pain or discomfort.

I had 4 helices done in Sept/Oct and I've now changed 3 of them out with no issues - one is still being grumpy and I'm babying it. I had daiths done in Dec with a curved barbell and I'll change to a ring as soon as fully healed.

No cartilage piercing is "fully healed" at three months. More like 9-12 months.
