What's happened to the colour?

I got a tattoo at 8 months ago on my foot. I'm happy with it but was looking at photos today and have realised how much it has changed. Can anyone give me any advice as to why? This is the last part of the tattoo and is pretty small, I'd say 1.5cm max. I forgot how beautiful it was at the start.

Where on your foot is it? It can be artist error, the fact it’s such a small detailed tattoo, or it’s somewhere with a lot of wear

It's pretty low.

I'm really worried now cos she's done another for me and I'm terrified it's going to blur awfully

A tattoo on your foot will often blur and fade, because it deals with constant friction from walking and having socks/shoes rubbing it. It's not uncommon.

But that does look especially blurred after only 8 months. Was it a cheap studio? What was their day rate?

£85 p/h. I'm really worried now

Pretty common for foot tattoos to blur compared to other parts of the body. The skin yours is on flexes and moves a lot compared to that of a forearm or thigh.

Hmmm. How much did the whole tattoo cost?

I've paid between 350-750 day rate before and not had blurring this bad.

What aftercare did you use? It's probably just because it's on the foot. Feet and hands do blur more than other body parts.

Your feet are constantly being rubbed by shoes / socks etc - it looks absolutely normal for such a high friction area

I used tattoo goo cleanser and cream, twice a day.

I'm so worried about my new one

Blowout? Did they put a second skin on? That's not acceptable even for that placement
