Should I switch nose piercing back to a bar?

I had my nose pierced almost 2 years ago now. When I first had it done I got lots of bumps which I can now tell was probably because I irritated it when cleaning it. I haven't had a bump since the first 6 months.

I thought it was completely healed and I've changed it from the original bar to a ring 4 days ago and now it hurts and looks like the start of a bump is forming. I'm wondering whether to switch back to the bar or if that would irritate it further.

I trust that it's a good ring, it seems to fit etc.

I've sprayed it with an aerosol saline.

Thanks

Put a nose screw in, they stay put and not as much catching as bar, get titanium things heal better with that than other metals

I just tend to ride it out with piercings!

It could just be general irritation from changing the jewellery, if you prefer how the ring looks i would be tempted to ride it out for a week or so and see if it settles down, try to keep touching it down to a minimum
