Rainbow tattoo and meaning

I am looking to have a tattoo that represents a rainbow and use the rainbow colours. This is in memory of a very dear friend.
In looking for inspiration there would appear to be some kind of code for tattoos using rainbow colours for the LGB community and so I do not want to get something that could be offensive and I wouldn't know it.

I appreciate that I could be worrying about nothing but I wanted to check.

Does anyone have any insight please?

The pride flag only has six colours, it misses out the violet. I don’t think getting a rainbow flag would be offensive, but it could easily be mistaken as being about support for LGBT+

I’d make sure that if you’re going to use a rainbow its curved and clearly a rainbow, and make sure it doesn’t look like anything that could be a flag.

I think depending on the design it might get mistaken for a Pride tattoo but I don’t think anyone would feel offended- we don’t own the rainbow!
