Ideas for a tattoo in memorial of my brother?

Can anyone help with any nice designs they have seen or ideas because I've been looking at ideas for months and can't find anything I love!

He was tiny when we lost him so I can't base it on things he loved or such.

Sorry to ask a personal question. Can you remember him? If so can you remember what you liked doing with him? Maybe you might get some ideas that way.

Sorry for your loss.

A rosebud.

Years ago I was at an event and chatting to a woman who had a small date tattooed onto her neck - at the lower part to the right side.

I asked and she said it was for her (terrible I know, but I can’t remember if it was her brother or son) who died as a baby and that was where she used to hold him and he would snuggle into her neck.

It's such a personal thing OP. I have thought of getting one for my brother who passed away at birth and the ideas I have seriously considered:

*A white carnation (he is holding one in the only photo we have of him)
*The outline of a small angel (I am not religious but my mother talks of him often and refers to him as her angel baby)
*A heart with a ribbon tied in a bow around it (because his name literally means " a gift")
*A baby elephant (it's a personal family story so I'd rather not say why but it is related to him too)

I suppose what I mean is that even if your brother was tiny when you lost him, maybe if you think hard about it you will be able to come up with similar ideas that would be unique to him. I have another memorial tattoo and it is very much linked to a memory I have of that person (although very small and subtle, you would never know it was a memorial tattoo and if I don't feel like explaining it, I pass it off as "just a pretty design I picked")

A forget me not.
I like the rosebud idea.

Thank you.
I don't have much memories but his loss affected my whole life if that makes sense and I've seen ones I like over the months but nothing I've really connected with. I feel a bit like when you are looking for a wedding dress and you've seen that many you get a bit lost!

Interestingly there's a story book I have a strong connection too which I also read to my daughter and forget me not feature heavily in that so that's something I've been drawn to but I would like to incorporate my daughter and my brother's name in there and I can't find one I really love!

Could you get a posy of flowers including forget me nots, and then have a ribbon tying the stems together, with large enough tails to put their names into?
You could also probably do names in a floral illustration style with added leaves and petals which would be quite pretty.
I always like the idea of having writing that someone close to me has written included, so maybe you could get your parents to write the names?

A good artist will draw something up just for you - you tell them your ideas, say forget-me-nots, the name/date memorial and they will come up with it.
You don't have to have the picture all ready to go so to speak, they will design a custom piece just for you.

Maybe get his flower month or birthstone. It will have meaning for you but wont be obvious. So you wont have to explain it if you dont want too.

The forget me not sounds lovely.

I have the kids names in morse code which I love, it's a good but different way of having their names on me.

I also have a teeny tree which shares a name with my son, and am getting a lighthouse soon as that represents my daughter's name.
