My bridesmaid is getting her face tattooed.

Hi. One of my bridesmaids has a lot of tattoos which I’m fine with, I have tattoos myself. However, she’s told me she is getting her face tattooed. I’ve said in the past that I don’t like this and she knows this, but it’s her body so fair enough.

I just don’t want it visible on my wedding day. Would I be rude/would she be offended if I told her I’d like her to cover it up for the day and for the photos? She knows I really don’t approve of facial tattoos already. I’m just worried of telling somebody what to do :( thanks x

I think it would be ridiculous to ask someone to do this. I assume you picked her because of your friendship, not because she has an attractive face. It would be rude and also OTT. Borderline bridezilla - sorry!

Is this the girl who has opted to have a huge gothic tattoo on her forehead? If not, there must be two bridesmaids out there with facial tattoos. Maybe you could have them both, so they match.

You can always ask! If she really doesn’t want to cover it you’ll probably have to just deal with it. Or angle her in some photos so it doesn’t show

Depends why she is your bridesmaid, is it because how she looks or because she's your friend

The question which would help me come to an answer would be why would I want her to be my bridesmaid? Does a tattoo change who she is?

Did you ask her to be a bridesmaid because you care about her and value her friendship, or because you like her face?

Having just got my 6th tattoo, I can say I would never tattoo my face. I don't like it.

However, you are being ridiculous. What the he'll does it matter? She is either your friend or not.
