Stars. Or ones that are lots of detail but small... you just know they'll turn into horrid blobs x

Im confused
Why do people go into a tattoo topic to say they don't like tattoos?
Surely its a topic for tattoo lovers

lightcola · 03/01/2018 22:36

Sorry. It came up on the active list. I didn’t realise it was in the tattoo section. I’ll get the comment removed.

I agree it's even in a section called "tattoos" .It's not like it's in chat.

I’ve reported my comment.

AdalindSchade · 03/01/2018 22:44

I don't like -
Little bitty pointless things like a star or an infinity symbol
Initials
Kids names
Sugar skulls (dated)
Pin ups especially topless women
Bulldogs
Football badges

Loveache · 03/01/2018 22:47

I don't like the generic heart/butterfly things that are picked out of a book in a studio. I don't like really cheaply badly spelled ones at all! The worst I ever saw was 'death leave's know-one behind' down some girl's arm. I think the trends date very badly too. Celtic knots, Chinese writing, quotes, watercolour splashes and that.

I like original ones which are really well done and thought out and are personal to the owner.

SimultaneousEquation · 03/01/2018 22:48

All of them

oohloolalala · 03/01/2018 22:50

Never knew there was a tattoo section! I like most tattoos but not keen on portraits

Samcro · 03/01/2018 23:19

Talk » Tattoos
its a section

TooManyPaws · 04/01/2018 04:48

Boring standard cartoons that hundreds of people have.
Racist crap.
Overt football ones.
Badly done ones.

BattleCuntGalactica · 04/01/2018 05:31

I dislike a fair few - but my absolute most loathed ones are Union Flag/Jack & England flags.

Nationalist pride tattoos and their ilk are revolting. The outright racist white nationalist ones are the absolute worst.

I've got fourteen tattoos, nerd references mostly, and also orchids with Venus flytraps on my hand/wrist.

Fruitboxjury · 04/01/2018 05:53

Anything in foreign script, especially kanji. It’s often wrong (a bit like misspelling a word in English) or makes very little sense, a bit like the t/shirts you see in the Far East with English logos on them that are directly translated from the local language.

Names are especially difficult as you need to understand the phonetics in a foreign language to get it right, needless to say not many people can understand that. For example “Je” as in Jessica is not a phonetic sound that is easily transcribed (nor is Si) and would probably be written Ji e shi ka

RestingGrinchFace · 04/01/2018 06:00

God, most of them. I have seen a few very nice ones. Mostly very small and simple black geometric designs and such. I have actually seen a few absolutely lovely watercolours, floral and in very soft tones. Anything else looks quite trashy.

BoredOnMatLeave · 04/01/2018 08:05

I have a gekko on my foot which I fucking hate. Loved it when I got it done illegally at 16 but it looks awful. Don't think I'll get it removed though, just have to face the embarrassment.

On other people: agreed water colour as it will age so badly and the ones that look like you've ripped through the flesh.

IHaveACuntingPlan · 04/01/2018 08:43

I have one that's 'tacky' according to a few on here - I have a flower and leaf that symbolises my dc and their names written around them. Luckily, I love it.

There's none I really dislike as it's each to their own isn't it? But the watercolour ones, while beautiful when freshly done, will not age well and that's a shame. And I don't even mean 5 or 10 years down the line, I mean like 12 months or so.
