My husband and I have been married for a year now and as a gay couple we are looking very seriously into surrogacy to start our family - We have researched the standard routes (e.g. Surrogacy UK) and we were wondering how people find surrogates or at least have an open (ish) discussion. Are there any Facebook groups or chats that we could access or any other routes that don't involve agencies in the first instance?

I know it is a different route, and neither of you would be biologically related, and you might be very keen on a newborn,
but
have you considered adoption?

Some children need a gay couple to adopt them as e.g. they have strong attachment to birth mum, so 2 men won't threaten that, or they have had very bad experiences of birth mum so may feel 'safer' with men.
