Adoption / surrogacy leave for both parents

My husband and I are becoming parents through surrogacy at the end of June. (Yay!)

I work for a university and get generous paid leave for most of a year.

My husbands company have offered him the adoption leave minimum, 90% pay for 6 weeks.

Can anyone tell us if we can both take all we are entitled to without calling it shared parental leave?
