Roborovski wobbling and eyes mostly closed

I have a gorgeous little boy roborovski hamster who I've owned since he was 8 weeks old just today I've noticed he's wobbling looking very frail and eyes half closed and not managing much at all hes 2 years and 8 months which is a great age I know I've called vets who won't see us until tomorrow afternoon is he dying ? Anyone else experienced this

It doesn't sound like he is very well, and he is very old for a hamster too.
